- hummm.... sounds good to me! I think they will enjoy it!
- Unless the turkey is "tofu turkey" your vegetarian guest obviously won't be eating it... Vegetarian Desserts: http://www.ivu.org/recipes/desserts/
- Sounds good to me, although I'm not a vegetarian. Actually you might want to ask this in the vegetarian section..you would probably get alot better responses and they would most likely be from actual vegetarians. It would probably be more help. But, in my opinion it looks like a great menu. If you think about it, the only thing from this very long list of foods that they won't be eating is the turkey. Everything else they eat so I think you're going to have some very full vegetarians at your house :-) Hope that helps..sounds delicious!
- Sounds great.A vegetarian will have tons to eat. What time should I be there ?
- I have a vegetarian friend who endures untold kidding from me about eating tofu. But being the good natured person she is, if she were coming to my home to eat, she would respond well to receiving a phone call asking her input on what you are asking here. Might even make them feel "special."
- Plenty for a vegetarian, For dessert try making a pumkin pie with out the crust. Its like pumpkin pudding, you could make a bread pudding too. Even make a large fresh fruit platter. Enjoy!
- I don't think you have to worry about calling your vegetarian guest. There's plenty for her to eat. I think this is a lovely menu.
- Consider making a veggie version of the stuffing (no chicken broth, no oysters). You might consider serving tofurkey (tofu "turkey" containing no animal products). Pumpkin pie made WITHOUT animal fat (beef fat, lard) would be great for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike-- much healthier with vegetable and non-trans fats.
- I would think so.
- I would try to come up with a vegetarian entree as well since many vegetarians want to eat a complete meal, not just a bunch of side dishes. Most stores sell pumpkin or squash ravioli that can be prepared quickly and served with browned butter & sage (all fall flavors).
- it sounds good but what are they going to put there vegie gravy on sorry for the spelling
- yes
- it's great! as long as you have some stuffing that you make that hasn't been stuffed inside the turkey (there usually is some that won't fit in there, so you should be OK) then she should be fine! i'm a vegetarian and i don't even care if there's not a "main course" for me at thanksgiving . . . i was always more fond of the sides anyway! you're very thoughtful! i'm sure that'll be appreciated as much as the food!
