  1. MMMMMM! Sounds delicious. I would add something chocolatey. And of course something to drink but it sounds really good. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
  2. sweet potato pie!!!! Thats the best thing you definetly need that!
  3. Hmm, sounds good to me. Could you make that 17 people? ;)
  4. INVITE ME!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! that sounds perfect...only, maybe a chocolate pie and sweet potatos smoothered in marshmellows w/pecans......yummy for the tummy....
  5. I think it sounds fine. What time should I be there! ;)
  6. candied yams or sweet potatoes, Peanuts mixed with harvest mix or candy corn... Beverage? pop, punch, milk coffee water? another form of salad,,, some kind of fruit salad... how about a some form of lettuce salad... cheese and crackers,,,, basically munchies while waiting for dinner... Other than that it looks fantastic....
  7. First of all good luck to hosting your Thanksgiving dinner this year - especially for such a large group of people!! I hope everything goes well - remember prep prep prep :) I think your menu looks great. I think the only three things I'd think about are 1) maybe including a nice simple salad - add some green to your menu to make it a bit more well balanced 2) maybe serve a hearty, spicy bread pudding for desert also - simple and not time consuming to make - it's a nice break from all the pies people gorge on this time of year - you can even offer a nice sauce to go with it 3) make sure non of your guests have dietary restrictions (vegetarian, diabetes, etc) and if so try to provide at least one protein for them - people without protein get grumpy and will ruin your dinner for all :) Good luck!
  8. Hmm i would try maybe a green bean cassorole, a sweet potato pie, Baked beans go great with ham. Desert Punch bowl cake easy and delicious. Bake a chocolate cake cut it into pieces and in a big bowl put a layer of chocolate cake bits, a layer of choclate pudding, a layer of glazed cherries and then a layer of whipped cream, repeat till top of bowl and on top put crushed walnuts. Its simple great big dish for a big group and i promise you wont get complaints. Also try some appetizers so people arent driving you crazy about getting it done. Hot wings, maybe a vegitable dip tray, some crackers and cheese, pepporoni tray and either one of the two of these get lil smokies and 4 cans of regular biscuts cut the biscuts in half and put a smokie in it and put them all in the oven on 400 for about 15 mins or until brown. or Put lil smokies in bbq sauce in a crock pot for a couple hours ... awesome
  9. Maybe a ice cream cake will be perfect for desert or maybe just a regular cake. This can help.
  10. Don't forget fresh veggies and dip. They are a hit even as an appetizer. And speaking of appetizers, it might be good to have a few for predinner snacking. Maybe cheese & crackers, an avacado dip with chips, a snack mix, etc. And don't forget the beverages too! A fall punch would be nice:) Good luck!
  11. Coffee (I was going to say Spam, but next to where I type in my answer Yahoo! says "No spam please") And ice cream. ... with hot fudge sauce topping and nuts and pineapple sauce and brandy. And don't forget the ipecac. May I come dine with you now? I still love you.
  12. Hey, invite me. I can tell you exactly what your missing. I'm only 17 but I'm a expert in food. I'm going to college for Culinary Arts. Have some type of Green like Collard, Kale or Mustard Greens. Rolls and/or Cornbread. Instead of Corn, have Glazed Carrots and Green Beans or Glazed Carrots and Green Been Casserole. Add Baked Beans, you can have Potato Salad or Mashed Potatoes with Gravy. And Desserts, Sweet Potato Casserole, Sweet Potato Pie, Candied Yams, Homemade Cheese Cake. Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
  13. Definitely don't forget the sweet potatoes...mashed. ;-p An apple pie. Eggnog. Salad. Appetizers - veggies & fruit w/dips; crackers, cheese, & pepperoni; chips w/dip; wings, mini hot dogs, or Swedish meatballs. A soup or stew is always nice, but not necessary. We used to have turkey soup. Biscuits and/or cornbread is also great, but not necessary. Soda, water, juice, coffee and/or tea. And definitely something chocolate. I make trifles...lol. Now I'm hungry...THANKS!!!! ;-p
  14. I make a spinach casorole that everyone loves and it's easy. You need something green. 2 pkg frozen chopped spinach 1 pkg pep. farms stuffing herbed mix (not cubed). 1 stick butter 1 pkg cream cheese 1/2 small onion pepper Thaw spinach and drain very well. Mix softened cream cheese and with softened 1/2 stick butter. Melt 1/2 stick butter and mix with enough stuffing mix to cover top of casorole dish. Mix spinach, chopped onion, pepper, and cream cheese mixture together. Cover with stuffing mix and bake 350 for 15-20 min. until brown-yum
  15. It all sounds so yummy, I don't think you've missed a thing, have a great holiday!
  16. You have alot on your hands! Drinks??? But that looks perfect! The only thing is that you consider guests you may have diabetes or are vegetarian. If not then you are set.
