Many years ago, my dad who was a diabetic, had a horrible sore on his leg that wouldn't heal. It had been there for 3 mos. A woman at work had given me a Novena to St. Therese. I never had prayed a Novena before. About halfway through the Novena, I asked my mom how his leg was doing and she said - believe it or not, it's getting better! On the last day of the novena (the ninth day), his leg was completely healed. I went upstairs to say a prayer of thanksgiving. A voice urged me to read about St. Therese in my saint book. I put it off and the voice was stronger. I'm not saying I heard a voice, like I could hear someone in the same room talk to me, but it was like a strong voice in my head. I looked her up and read the story. It said that people who make a Novena to St. Therese are often given a rose as a sign that she's listening. I counted back to the first day I had started the Novena and remembered that my brother had given me a rose on that day! Praise GOD! Eldad9 - Thank you for taking the time to comments, but it couldn't have been the placebo effect because my dad didn't know I was praying for him until it was over. My dad was a non-practicing Jew, so I wasn't sure how he felt about novenas. Turns out he was very grateful and believed that my prayers were answered! It wasn't a coincidence. A horrible diabetic sore on a leg that was there for 3 months, doesn't just disappear in 9 days coincidentally. Have faith! David - thanks for your comment. Blessed be God forever! I read a book by Benny Hinn called "Good Morning Holy Spirit". It was an awesome book - I read it many years ago and never forgot it.
