- ok i am a huge fan of thanks giving dinner ! and u have to go troditanoly, my familly always does. U have to have Turkey Mash potatoes, Dressing, Gravy. Plus Peas Corn and u can get good recipes this is from my mom, from the show called martha
- Pumpkin pie is a must, and whipped cream!
- not traditional, i guess, but thanksgiving never goes by in our house without a big pot of homemade chili. i made the chili one year, and it was such a hit, that i make it every year now. try it--you may be surprised at how popular it is. none of us care for turkey, so i never make one, but i do make all the traditional trimmings, including a super-tasty sausage stuffing. sorry, i'm stingy with my recipes, but the base for the stuffing recipe was from a woman's day magazine with a bit of my uncle's recipe added, and the chili recipe is a variation on the one in the booklet that came with my crockpot. have a great holiday, and good luck. oh, i forgot to mention the caramel pecan pie, and the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts! divine!!
- Turkey Ham Dressing Mashed potatoes & gravy Candied sweet potatoes Scallopped corn Cranberry mousse Green bean casserole Dinner rolls Pumpkin pie I've never seen decorations at a Thanksgiving dinner. But you could do a centerpiece of fall colored roses. Maybe have some silk or real leaves scattered on the table. Unscented candles.
- Turkey is classic hit. Wine/non-alcholic beverages Pumpkin and Apple Pie are classic fall desserts. My family in LA always orders a chocolate Cornecopia ckae; though that is just a family tradition. Mashed Potatoes; man are those good with gravy and turkey. you can't lose with those.
