What are you grateful for this wonderful (CANADIAN) Thanksgiving weekend?
I'm grateful that through much prayer and faith, that my dad overcame WEST NILE. He got hit with the worst possible you can get, and they said he'd never recover, yet the will to live is strong, and I know that prayer and love and knowing we were there by his side every day, got him through. I think the docs and nurses expected him to die, when he didn't, they said prepare for a nursing home, he'll never recover, next day he opened his eyes, they said he needs surgery now for a permanent feeding tube, two days later he yanked out the one up his nose and said I want to eat! Next day he got out of bed on his own and walked...let's send him to rehab for a few months. One week later he came home. That was yesterday. If that isn't a cause for celebration and thanks I don't know what is. God bless and always believe in miracles. Where there is faith, all things are possible! Happy Thanksgiving! It's Thanksgiving to US of Canada Muslima...There is more to the world than just the US of A shnookums. Much, much, more.

- I'm grateful that my grandma made it through surgery just fine and she's not in pain. I'm also grateful that my dog doesn't have bladder infection like we though! I'm very grateful for my whole family, without them I would not be who I am.

- I thank God, for my wonderful husband and my children, without them I would never believe that such love is possible especially through children. The love plus being apart of their wonderful life is a blessing. I also give thanks to God for this wonderful beautiful country CANADA., where we respect it's beauty, freedom to work, live and play. Amen!

- I'm thankful that thanksgiving is in October. Look at those Americans who say "it isn't thanksgiving yet!"... ...Despite the fact that CANADIAN is in the title. Poor, ignorant souls.
- I hate Thanksgiving. It's always so much work. Oh sure family is fun (sometimes) but cleaning and cooking is not my idea of fun. Some years we weren't done harvesting and we had sandwiches for Thanksgiving. I liked those years. It's not that I don't cook and clean all the time, but you have to go all out for stupid Thanksgiving.
