What to bring to a thanksgiving dinner?

I have been invited to thanksgiving dinner in being held by an American friend in London. What should I bring as a gift for the event. Any other tips regarding customs and tradition I should be aware of? Thanks, ei9ii

9. If in doubt bring wine. It looks good when you walk in and if things drag you can drink it bcause you bought it

11. The dinner is in London? Since when do the Brits celebrate Thanksgiving? In any case, bring something made in the USA. If you go through security at the airport, they will confiscate food and drink if you carry on your luggage.

13. Thats very nice of you to celebrate Thanksgiving. You will love it--there will be LOTS of food: Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Bread Dressing, Vegetables, and probably beef dish. There will also be many cakes and pies. It will be nice if you bring a Cake or Pie. Any cake will be fine. We normally have Pumpkin Pie, but I doubt they sell that in London. A cheesecake will be nice, or an Apple Pie will be great too--since Apple Pie is considered American tradition. Matter of fact, here's what you do: bring 2 Apple Pies and a Gallon of (reduced fat) Vanilla Ice Cream. Americans loooooove Hot Apple Pie and Ice Cream--yummy! Thanks for going :)

18. There are gift baskets you can get at a grocery store filled with nuts, fruits and candies, Different sizes. Tradition for Americans and Thanksgiving are usually Pumpkin Pie....Cranberry sauce. Turkey. Dressing.. Apple pie.
