What should I bring to Thanksgiving dinner to impress my possible future in-laws?
Going with a "friend" to his parents for Thanksgiving. We are going to both sides of his family and I want to bring something to both dinners. His mom said to bring something "bread" like, but I dont feel comfortable just bringing rolls. Any ideas? I will bring the rolls, I just want to bring something else also. I guess I want to impress the family a little, help!

- Impress them by doing what they asked. There is always too much food on Thanksgiving day.
- go to a bakery and get some really NICE rolls, maybe a selection? Garlic, butter... see your local bake shop.
- Bring rolls and make bread pudding as well. That's bread like...
- Take them flowers; they are festive and a nice touch.
- Bring a nice autumn scented candle, like pumpkin or apple pie smells. Most people already have tons of food but the candle is nice because it lasts a lot longer than food and they will remember that you got it for them each time they light it. Also it won't break your budget to buy a couple of nice candles.
- bring a dessert, everybody loves desserts always room for jello XD
- Bring the rolls or bread then bake a great pie! Everyone loves a great pie. If your "up north" bring a good southern pie or if your from the south bring a pie that is popular in the north.
- definitely not a green bean casserole. Go with a nice simple fruit salad. Not that hard just chunk up a bunch of fruit you think would be good together pineapple banana strawberries and then sprinke a little sugar on it and just a tad of lemon juice to keep the color in the fruit and put it in the fridge overnight so it can make kind of like a fruit nectar sauce. Its fresh and its brightly colored and its semi healthy too. :-) Don't stress & have a great Thanksgiving!
- A hot homemade bread will wow them! That and good table manners!
