What is a good vegetable to serve for Thanksgiving dinner?
I am in charge of the vegetables for dinner on Thanksgiving. I have a recipe for green bean casserole, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for other vegetables to serve on Thursday.

- Corn. Simple is best.
- how bout yams
- green beans with diced ham & onions
- Sweet Potatoes. You mash'em up and add some orange juice for flavor. Then you put it in a casserole dish and put brown sugar on top, then cinnamon, and then COVER the top with mini marshmallows. YUM! And then cook it in the oven of course.
- String beans or baby Lima beans.
- Sweet potato.
- Corn on the cob BBQ'd.. yummmmm
- Sweet corn or sweet potatoes are always a delicous choice especially eating it with turkey
- asparagus... greens are better
- Asperigus is wonderfull. We always have a relish tray with vegi dips as well. Also remember your yams are a vegtable also!!
- Yuck. Does anyone really, I mean really, like green bean casserole? It makes me gag. Green beans, however, are great when bought fresh and either steamed until tender or lightly fried in a pan with butter and some garlic salt. I usually put a cup of water in the fry pan with the butter if I am cooking a large batch. The water will evap and tenderize the beans and then you can finish frying them up. YUM! Of course, we do the GB's and Yam Casserole. MMmmmmmm
- I am going to try to make some collard greens for a side this year and also fried corn!
- My family always makes sucotasch ,although I'm not perticularly fond of it .
