Do you think that thanksgiving for prayers can be expressed through the internet?
Spiritually theoretical question: suppose a great number of people prayed for, sent vibes for, invoked the universe for this anonymous, unnamed guy's mom in Louisiana, who had some pretty risky surgery, but then came through with so many flying colors that even the doctors and nurses were, like, amazed, could this anonymous, unnamed guy use the internet, or even ... I don't know ... a board like this on Religion and Spirituality, to thank everybody who prayed for her and to say how much he loves his contentious, dysfunctional, loyal, and immenently loving community for their support during a very emotional and taxing time in his life? Spiritually, theologically, and metaphysically speaking, of course.

- I seriously don't know Jon, it can't hurt what do you think?
- You could use PayPal
- rebel it's illegal to transmit & receive spiritual broadcasting via god's wavelengths according to FCC guidelines
- :-) Yes, he could do that. And all the people who read it and prayed would say "Praise God" and you are very welcome.
- lol. You are welcome, buddy.
- Practically speaking, I believe that it is okay to share thanksgiving for prayers over the Internet. The Internet is a powerful vehicle of and from information. Religiously if people do not have the same beliefs as that person does it is okay as long as no one's personhood is being devalued or violated. Go ahead and share the thanksgivng for prayer. All you are doing is spreading positivity.
- yes, most people would be greatful that that anonymous person took their time out to say thank you, and on top of that its news that there really is a GOD,and prayers are being answeres by GOD...all we have to do is say a little pray for one another! GOD BLESS US ALL!!!
- Spiritually, theologically & metaphysically speaking, I have 3 things to say -- yes, hooray, and you're very welcome cutie. We all love you too.
- Yes!!! God is an invisible spirit. And His spirit covers the entire universe. There is not place you can be.....that God will not hear you, when you call upon Him for help. There is no place where you can hide from Him. He sees all. We have prayed for people across the world....and we saw prayers being answered.
- Hypothetically speaking, some of the people on the board have probably been waiting every day for such an update and wondering about the hypothetical mom and would say "Hurray! And you are so very welcome, hon."
- Hmm. I think you probably could. But don't be surprised if some of these prayerful peole in cyberspace answered back *whew!* or Thank God or You're welcome. As this anonymous person might say -- ":)"
- What a completely hypothetical question. I have no idea. But if I did, I would probably say you're welcome and that this guy's contentious, dysfunctional, etc. community loves him too.
- Spiritually, theologically, and metaphysically speaking, of course you could.. and you should expect an answer of thank goodness and we are so very happy!!
- Interesting question...... I'll just throw this one out there for who ever.... God be praised!
- Since this is such a theoretical question, with no real life connection to anybody we know, I think you could. The community might say Praise God and you're welcome, Jon.
- YES! (Both as in yes to your question and YES hooray!!!
- So glad to hear about your mom...
- with so many here seeking to share the good news, i'd say that's possible. hypothetically, the community in question could keep on sending that energy for continued improvement and good health. (((((unnamed guy and his mom)))))
- absolutly. turns out the internet worked for prayers, right?
- see. it works, don' it? hypothetically speaking, of course.
- Jon, I guess it can happen if it has! WOW That's great news and you are welcome buddy. I didn't know that could happen. So the mom is better now....glad I could help by sending my prayers to that beautiful lady in Louisianna.
- Hypothetically speaking, of course he could, and the people around would say HURRAY!!!!
- Yea It's called a "Praise report!) "Diamond" "Peace!"
- yes, weve done it on tv for years
- For this to happen, the board would have to allow someone to post a prayer request. R&S, for example, considers it a violation. Assuming you could post the request on some board, receive the assistance and prayers of others and experience a positive result, of course one could go back to said board and post a "thank you" to all who had prayed.
