Thanksgiving Dinner Speech?

Hi everyone, we always go around the table saying what we are thankful for... every year one of us stands up and does the main speech/prayer... this year is mine... I have a lot of things i'm thankful for but how can i start it... or what is everyone saying? Happy thanksgiving

2. I would say " Father, we pray in Jesus name " to start anyway, then procede to tell what your thankful for, thank the Father that you can all be together at this time to share this wonder meal, etc.
3. You know, I read in the paper the other day ... Commercial turkeys are too fat to have sex ... so please do not eat too much and let this happen to you! Of course, don't say this if there are small children around .. it would just be a nice icebreaker and make everyone laugh. You sound nervous about making the speech. Honestly, talk about what comes to your mind. Talk about what is in your heart. Start off by saying you are thankful for everyone that could attend the function and that you hope God is with everyone that couldn't be there. Recount things that have happened in the past year ... new family members (babies, marriages, etc.) Talk about anything good going on. Once you get started it will flow .... you might surprise yourself!
