thanksgiving dinner?

is a thanksgiving dinner healthy at all? I heard that an average thanksgiving dinner has 3000 calories! That's a lot for everything, I don't want to gain a lot of weight from eating it! Haha. I was just wondering if it was healthy and stuff. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving everyone :]

  1. DANG I never knew that! Well I would say yes, it CAN be healthy. Depends on what you serve. Vegetables are great, but that after-dinner Pecan Pie is probably what rings in the most calories.
  2. just follow these tips: dont have your plate all beige[ like stuffing, mashed potatos, and rolls] divide your plat 1/4 lean protein,1/4 carb, and 1/2 veggies like roasted sweet potatos and carrots. for dessert, pumpkin pie is the way to go. it actually has benifits for your health and compared to pecan pie, it has little fat. all in all enoy your family and cooking but just try to incorpate lot of veggies instead of carbs and workout afterward. happy holidays!<3
