Thanksgiving menu? This year will be my first Thanksgiving hosted by me. I am thrilled because I love to cook and entertain. However, I am a little puzzled on a menu. I am not trying to go crazy since it'll be just me, my husband, his brother and wife. We're ntot big on what we call souther foods such as green beans, yams, sweet potatoes or squash. Something simple yet delicious perhaps with a dessert. Any ideas or shared personal recipes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dinner menu ? Well, for me it is this. Baked turkey, rice and gravy, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, barbecue pig, stuffing, applesauce, apple pie, pecan pie, and carrot and chocolate cake. Yummy. I think I will also add a little bit of ham to that plate if you don't mind. What is your favorite Thanksgiving dinner menu ? Don't hold back either. And yes I almost forgot. Candied Yams, and potato salad. Without the eggs please. How about fried turkey, a big hit these days. Especially down SOUTH. And yes, we do have the best food in the world. Alternative Thanksgiving Menu? I am planning a Thanksgiving meal, but wan't to do it in a less traditional way. I will be having people in and out all day, and don't want a whole traditional Thanksgiving meal. What I want is small appetizers that are Thanksgiving inspired that I can bring out all day. I'm black, and we (meaning MY family) eat ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, chitterlings, greens and green beans w/ hamhocks, baked macoroni & cheese (not the crap they sell at KFC), yams, potato salad, corn bread, rolls, and cranberry sauce. Thanksgiving dinner? Do you like the traditional dinner with turkey and stuffing and gravy and vegetables and rolls and desert.? Have you changed any of the menu for health reasons? How do you feel about a restraurant on the holiday. Do they need to have the traditional dinner to get your business? I am planning a group dinner and I would like some feedback. ty
Your Vegetarian Thanksgiving ? Whats on your menu this year? We are going to have the garlic and herb Quorn cutlets, mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, homemade cranberry sauce, green beans w/ almonds and lots of vegetarian gravy. My kids are picky but LOVE Quorn so this year I want to please everyone : ) Great ideas here! My kids would not touch squash if I paid them so no use in making that unless we end up having more people over to enjoy it : )

HELP! I'm having family over for Thanksgiving!? My husband , 2 kids & I all just moved to NM. Both of our families will be here for Turkey day, that's a total of 12 people! How do I plan my menu & get everything done with 2 kids under the age of 3?! I don't want to cater & I'm thrilled to be having everyone here, I just think it'll be a little overwhelming. Any suggestions on make ahead dishes or how to keep my house clean for more than an hour? ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated :0
anybody have any ideas for a different Thanksgiving feast? just kinda tired of the same ole thing every year.it makes it so difficult when you have older children because they always have the inlaws to go to. i want to do something where people can just come and go as they please.also have a little bit different menu.
I'm trying to put together a menu for a pre-Christmas dinner? My sister won't be home for Christmas so I'm making a dinner for my family on the 21st. I don't feel like doing all the cooking I did at Thanksgiving. Does anyone have any ideas?
